At Behavioral Innovations, we are always looking for new ways to help people with developmental disabilities and are proud to announce that we now have programs that will address the needs of adolescents and adults. In early 2012, we were accepted into two Medicaid programs; the Home and Community Services (HCS) Program and the Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability (ICF/IID) Program.
The HCS Program provides individualized services and supports to persons with intellectual disabilities who are living with their family in their own home or in other community settings, such as small group homes. The ICF/IID Program provides residential and habilitation services to people with intellectual disabilities or a related condition. These two programs allow BI to help individuals at home, in a group home or residential facility or in an intermediate facility.
In late 2012, Behavioral Innovations was the first provider to qualify for the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) School Transition Program. This program helps young adults better prepare for finding a job and living more independently.
With the school transition program and the above HCS and ICF/IID programs, we have the ability to perform a functional behavior assessment and develop and implement a behavior intervention plan. Social skills support is also incorporated into each program. Every plan is specifically engineered for each individual, according to his or her assessment, delivering a unique solution.
We’re excited about providing these services and look forward to serving your family’s and your client’s needs!
