Administration
The Administrative Department at BI is responsible for all of the daily operations at our facility including employment, human resources, child safety, financial operations and all other functions required to run our business. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to monitor our center, ensure smooth operations and a pleasant experience for our children, their families and our employees in Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding DFW Metroplex.
Administrative Director - Carla Edwards
Carla Edwards received her Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1995 and her Master's degree from the University of North Texas in 1999. She has 15 years experience working with individuals with developmental delays, ranging from young children to adults. Carla has practiced as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2000. She is an active member of The Association for Behavior Analysis and The Texas Association for Behavior Analysis, Autism Special Interest Group. Carla has provided numerous presentations regarding Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis to the local community for service groups within the community. She has experience working as an Autism Program Coordinator for a public school district. Her responsibilities included conducting functional analysis in and outside of classroom settings, developing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals and training staff members. Carla has extensive experience working with local school districts providing consultation on IEP development, program structure and staff training. She also currently serves as the Chair of Texas Association for Behavior Analysis, DFW Area Autism Special Interest Group.

Business Development
The Business Development Department is responsible for overseeing the development of any new services. They are also responsible for our Parent Education services, Community and School Support projects and those individuals who are currently working toward Certification in Behavior Analysis. The Business Development Department is dedicated to making information available to our clients the community. We are continuously seeking new and innovative ways to address behavioral challenges.
Executive Director & Chief Development Officer - Billy Edwards
Billy Edwards received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1996 and his Master's degree in Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas in 1999. He has been directly involved in service delivery to persons with disabilities for 17 years. He has practiced as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2000 and is an active member of The Association for Behavior Analysis International and The Texas Association for Behavior Analysis (TxABA). He served as the TxABA Autism Special Interest Group Co-chair for several years, was a TxABA Executive Council Member from 2004-2005, and served as President of the organization from 2005-2006. He has served as a member of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board Exam Review Committee for several years and was most recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Association for Professional Behavior Analysts. Billy has provided numerous presentations regarding Autism awareness and Applied Behavior Analysis across the country and is actively involved in efforts to change local, state and federal legislation in order to improve the quality of services made available to children, promoting Behavior Analysis. During his tenure as Executive Director of Behavioral Innovations, the company has expanded it’s operations to include five service locations throughout Texas and is widely regarded as an industry leader as a result of its services and efforts to work with insurance companies and families throughout the state of Texas.

Clinical Department
Clinical Director - Lori Russo
Lori Russo received her Bachelor's degree from Texas Tech University in 1993, and Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas in 1999. While at the University of North Texas, Lori spent time working with individuals with developmental disabilities under the direction of distinguished professors in various capacities and settings such as Denton State School, Denton ISD, and individual home programs. Lori participated in research projects regarding functional behavior assessments, language development, social and play skills, development of academic materials, and staff training. Upon completion of her Master's Degree and her Board Certification, Lori was instrumental in creating Behavioral Innovations, Inc.; a well recognized Treatment Center that provides services to individuals with Developmental Disorders based on Applied Behavior Analysis. Lori's wide range of research interests is reflected in her development of the Clinical Department of Behavioral Innovations. Lori directs a Clinical team that utilizes evidence-based treatment. The major area of concentration for Lori's work as BI's Clinical Director is to develop appropriate assessment and curriculum for individuals with Autism that will maximize their potential for mainstreaming. Lastly, Lori values the scientific community at large. She remains active in her state professional organization in which she serves on the TxABA Council and the national professional association (Association for Behavior Analysis and Texas Association for Behavior Analysis). She has previously served on committees such as the TxABA Autism Special Interest group and has also functioned as an expert professional on panels to review other clinical programs. Her pioneering vision has guided her dynamic career path of expanding evidence-based treatment for individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
